​Honey Bee Hollow for Kids invites your little explorers to a joyful morning of gardening, discovery, and play at the beautiful Foote Park. We’ve designed a special event that brings science, creativity, and nature together for a truly memorable experience.

​When: Saturday, April 18th

Time: 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.

Where: at Foote Park Branford, the Pavilion by the River

​Cost: $25 per child (sibling discounts are available!)

​This isn't just a gardening session; it’s a full curriculum of fun designed to teach children what plants need to grow. Every child will plant seeds to bring home and nurture!

​🌟 Circle Time with Mimi

We’ll start our adventure with a special gathering! Join Mimi for immersive stories, engaging songs, and friendly lessons about what plants need to grow. It’s the perfect, gentle way to sprout curiosity before we start our hands-on exploration.

​🌱 The 3 Sensory Bins: A Plant’s Journey

Explore the world of plants through touch and discovery with our three custom-themed sensory bins. Each bin explores a different "need" of a growing plant:

​Water 💧 – Experience the refresh and flow with cool textures and tools.

​Soil 🥔 – Get hands-on with rich, earth-themed materials that ground our plants.

​Sunshine ☀️ – Interact with bright colors and light-themed textures that provide the energy to grow.

​🏗️ Tinker Zone

Unleash your inner inventor! The Tinker Zone is filled with open-ended materials for building, creating, and experimenting with structure and form.

​🎨 Arts and Craft Zone

Express your creativity with nature-inspired projects. We’ll have materials ready for kids to create beautiful pieces they can take home as a memory of their gardening day.

​🔍 Science and Discovery Zone

Magnifying glasses, specimens, and interactive tools are waiting! This zone is all about observing, questioning, and discovering the fascinating world of bugs, dirt, and biology.

​🧸 Toy Zone

Sometimes, you just need to play! The Toy Zone is a dedicated space filled with age-appropriate toys that encourage imaginative and cooperative play in the park setting.

​☕ Caregiver Corner

We know that outings with little ones can be unpredictable! Need some wipes? A diaper? Forgot a ponytail holder? Our Caregiver Corner basket has some complimentary items to make your play date a bit easier. While you are there, be sure to pick up our take-home extension activities, a list of upcoming events, and some helpful information on the importance of play.
