Welcome to Autumn Adventures, a six-week family preschool experience where young children and their caregivers discover the wonders of fall through nature, exploration, and play.

Designed as a gentle introduction to preschool, this class combines hands-on learning, movement, music, stories, sensory experiences, and outdoor adventures in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Each week, we'll explore a different location along the Branford shoreline while encouraging curiosity, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Each week may include:

🍁 Nature walks and scavenger hunts

🐿️ Observing wildlife and the changing seasons

🍎 Visits to local orchards, parks, beaches, and nature trails

🎵 Songs, fingerplays, stories, and movement activities

🎨 Seasonal crafts, sensory play, and process art

🔤 Early preschool concepts including colors, shapes, letters, numbers, science, and early math through play

🏡 Simple take-home activities to continue learning together at home

Program Details

Session Dates: September 5 – October 10

Day & Time: Saturdays • 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Tuition: $225 per child for the six-week session.

Early Bee Registration: Register between August 1 and August 2 and receive the discounted tuition of $200 per child.

Location: Outdoor locations throughout Branford, Connecticut. Families will receive the weekly meeting location before each class.

Minimum Enrollment: A minimum of five children is required for the session to run. 

Weather: In the event of severe weather, class will be held at a designated indoor location or rescheduled if necessary.

Recommended Age & Inclusion

This class is recommended for children ages 2–4; however, every child develops at their own pace. Parents know their children best and are encouraged to determine whether this class is a good fit based on their child's developmental level, interests, and ability to participate in a small group setting.

Honey Bee Hollow welcomes children of all abilities, including children with disabilities, developmental differences, and diverse learning styles. Parent Participation

This is a caregiver-and-child program. A parent, grandparent, or other caregiver must remain with their child and actively participate throughout each class.

We recommend bringing:

Comfortable clothing that can get messy

Closed-toe shoes

A water bottle

Sunscreen and/or insect repellent, if desired

A small blanket or towel for circle time

A spirit of curiosity and adventure!
